I don't understand the fans part. Do I sign up to be a fan of other teams? Or do I add other team fan codes to be fans of my team?

I don't get it.

They both count, if someone adds your fan code, you gain a fan and so do they and vice versa.
I added 20/25 to get early rewards...and since then people have added my code and now up to 33 so everyone gains.

Okay thanks that's clear.

What's the point of it though? Is it just for coins & power-ups?

I dont connect through facebook so i dont know if its adds to your list of people you can ask for energy...but coins and power ups only for me.
